Maritess T. Bott
Maritess has been practicing law for over 20 years. She started her career at two boutique law firms in downtown Chicago that specialized in estate and business planning for high net worth individuals and families. It was there that she honed the skills and expertise to identify a clients’ objectives and to employ innovative strategies to meet their goals.
In 2003, she became a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, a national exclusive organization dedicated to promoting excellence in estate planning. She is one of only a handful of Academy members in the Chicagoland area.
In 2007, Maritess “hung up her own shingle” and began the journey of owning her own law firm. The decision to do so was based on her passion to better service her clients in a personalized fashion. Maritess treats every single client as part of her family. She is a valued resource to her clients when they are going through difficult times. Maritess has many long-time clients who she has helped in many ways, not only for legal advice, but sometimes through personal issues. She always strives to be the trusted advisor who is the “lawyer for life” to all of her clients.
Maritess currently lives in Rolling Meadows with her husband, Gary, and their children, Zachary, Nathaniel and Jocelyn. In 2017, the family grew even more when they adopted their Peekapoo, Cinnamon. Maritess enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hanging out with her girlfriends, hosting extended family events and watching a bit of reality TV.

Bott and Associates has been immensely helpful in preparing our estate plans for our family, even during the current pandemic situation. They provided an extremely safe environment and made sure we felt comfortable during the signing. She came highly recommended when we had to address estate issues after my wife’s parents both passed without wills. The firm was extremely responsive and empathetic, and made the process simple.
